Palette Points & Referral Program Terms

1. About the program

Palette Points is a free rewards program run by KING WYNN, LLC, doing business as Black Palette Books (“we,” “us”). By earning or using points, or sharing a referral link, you agree to these terms, our Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy.

2. Who can take part

1. You need a Black Palette Books account. You can create one on the My Account page at any time, or one is created for you with your first order.
2. You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you need a parent’s or guardian’s permission.
3. One account per person. Points are for personal use, not for resale or business use.
4. The program is void where prohibited by law.

3. Earning points

1. You earn 1 point for every $1 spent on products while signed in, and a 10-point bonus on your first order.
2. Sales tax never earns points. We decide which other charges, such as shipping, earn points.
3. Points from an order are recorded as pending once its payment is confirmed. A buyer’s own points become usable 30 days later. Referral points become usable 125 days after the referred friend’s order. We may change these holding periods, and changes apply to points that haven’t been released yet.
4. You earn 5 points for a product review once it is approved and published. One review per product counts.
5. Point values and ways to earn are listed on the How Palette Points Work page. We may change them, and changes apply to points earned after the change.

4. Using points

1. Every 20 points is worth $1.00 off a future order, applied in your cart while you are signed in.
2. Points have no cash value. They cannot be exchanged for cash, sold, transferred, given to another person or combined with another account.
3. If an order paid partly with points is refunded, the points used are not paid out as cash. We may return them to your account.

5. Refunds, returns and cancellations

If an order is refunded, returned, cancelled or disputed during the holding period, its pending points are cancelled and never become usable. If it happens after the points are released, we remove the points it earned. That includes points a referrer earned from it. Your balance can go below zero if you already used those points.

6. Expiration and closed accounts

Points do not currently expire. If we add an expiration rule, we will give at least 30 days’ notice first. If your account is closed, its points are forfeited.

7. Refer-a-friend

1. Your link. Each account has a personal referral link, found on the Palette Points page in My Account.
2. Who counts. A referral counts only when someone who has never ordered from us, and has never had an account with us, uses your link and places an order.
3. Your rewards. You earn a 10-point bonus on your friend’s first order and 1 point for every $1 they spend on later orders. Referral points become usable after the holding period in section 3. Your friend earns points as any other customer does.
4. No self-referrals. Orders you place yourself through your own link, or through another account you control, do not earn referral rewards.
5. How to share. Share your link personally, with people you know who would welcome it. Do not send spam or bulk email, post your link on coupon or deal sites, buy ads with it, bid on our name in search ads or present yourself as Black Palette Books. You are responsible for following anti-spam and other laws when you share.
6. What you see. In your Points History, a referred friend appears by first name and last initial, with the date and amount of each order that earned you points. You never see their email address, order number or the items they bought.
7. Limits. There is no set limit on referrals today. We may set one, and we may withhold referral rewards that don’t follow these terms.

8. Fraud and misuse

If we believe someone is misusing the program, for example through fake or duplicate accounts, self-referrals or orders placed only to earn points, we may remove points, cancel referral rewards, cancel orders or close the account.

9. Changes to the program

We may change these terms or end the program at any time. We will post changes on this page and update the effective date. If we end the program, you will have at least 30 days to use your points. Taking part after a change means you accept it.

10. Taxes

You are responsible for any taxes that may apply to rewards you receive.

11. Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute about the program is handled under the arbitration section of our Terms & Conditions.

12. Limits on our responsibility

The program is provided as is. To the fullest extent the law allows, our responsibility for any claim about the program is limited to the value of the points in your account. If any part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies.
