Every Black Palette Books account earns points automatically. Here’s how it works.

Your referral link is on the Palette Points page. When a friend who has never ordered from us uses your link and places an order, you earn a 10-point bonus on that first order. After that, you keep earning 1 point for every $1 they spend. Referral points become usable 125 days after each of your friend’s orders.
In your Points History, a friend appears by first name and last initial, like “Maria G.” You’ll see when they placed their order and how much they spent. You never see their email address, order number or what they bought.
No. You can create a free account any time, or one is created for you when you place your first order. Points start with your first order.
Right away, as pending points. Points from your own orders become usable 30 days after the order is paid. Referral points become usable 125 days after your friend’s order. Above your Points History you’ll see each pending amount and the date it becomes available. The holding period protects the program from refunds and payment disputes.
In your cart, while you’re signed in. Choose how many points to use, or tap Use Max Amount, then Apply. Every 20 points is $1.00 off your order.
Not at this time. If that ever changes, we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice.
No. Referral rewards are for introducing new customers, so orders you place yourself through your own link, or through another account you control, don’t earn referral points.
If it happens during the holding period, that order’s points are cancelled, for both you and the friend who referred you. If the points were already released, we remove them.
No. Points have no cash value and stay with your account.
